Scale protection and filtration, without salt

Some homes cannot or do not want a salt-based softener: homes without a drain line, salt-restricted areas, or owners who just prefer no salt. This system pairs a salt-free scale conditioner with a carbon tank, so you still get chlorine taste and odor filtration at every tap.

Helps prevent scale

The conditioner changes how hardness minerals behave, so they are much less likely to build up on pipes, fixtures, and your water heater.

✓

No salt, no wastewater

No brine, no regeneration cycle, no drain line, and no electrical connection for the conditioner tank.

✓

Leaves minerals in the water

Hardness minerals are not removed, so there is no added sodium and the water keeps its natural mineral content.

✓

Carbon filtration included

The second tank reduces chlorine, chloramine, chemicals, and odors for fresh-tasting water throughout your home.

✓

Low maintenance

No salt to buy or carry, and long-lasting media with no complicated parts.

✓

Lifetime tank warranty

Plus coverage on the valve, and a labor warranty on the install.

What is in the system

Two tanks, two jobs.

Tank 1

Salt-free conditioner tank

Treats water so hardness minerals are far less likely to form scale. It needs no salt, no drain, and no regeneration.

Tank 2

Carbon tank

Granular activated coconut shell carbon over polishing gravel reduces chlorine, chloramine, and taste and odor.

Conditioner vs. softener: what to expect

A salt-free conditioner prevents scale; it does not remove hardness. A hardness test will read the same before and after, and the water will not feel slick like softened water. You may still see some spotting on glass. If you want truly soft water, choose our softener and filtration system. If you want low maintenance, no salt, and scale protection, this is the right system.

Add drinking-water purity

Whole-home filtration improves every tap. For the cleanest drinking and cooking water, add an under-sink reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink.

Frequently asked questions

Does a salt-free conditioner soften water?
No. It prevents scale buildup but does not remove calcium and magnesium, so the water is not technically softened. A hardness test will read the same.
Why would I choose this over a softener?
If you want no salt, no drain line, and almost no maintenance, or you live where salt-based softeners are restricted. If you want truly soft water, a softener is the better choice.
Does the carbon tank remove chlorine?
Yes. It uses granular activated coconut shell carbon to reduce chlorine, chloramine, chemicals, and odors.
Do I need electricity or a drain?
The conditioner tank needs neither. Ask us about the carbon tank's requirements for your install.
How long does installation take?
Most whole-home installs take about two to three hours, with water off for about 45 minutes to an hour. We protect your floors and clean up afterward.
What warranty comes with it?
A lifetime warranty on the tanks, plus coverage on the valve, and a labor warranty on the install.
How much does it cost?
We give a flat written quote with no surprises. Financing is available and checking your options takes about 3 to 5 minutes with a soft credit check.
